CGA Mission Statement

The Corydon Gamer Association, a non-profit organization, was officially organized in 2015 to meet the growing needs of people throughout Southern Indiana who are gamers that have social phobia/social anxiety/PTSD, and to spread suicide prevention throughout Harrison County.


Growing up to be a productive, healthy, and successful adult can be a challenge. As children become adults, they can sometimes develop social disorders, mental health problems, and confusion due to their environment and lack of motivation. The Corydon Gamer Association strives to ensure that gamers have life skills and support during difficult times by providing education and resources within the local community. 

 

SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER IS THE THIRD LARGEST MENTAL HEALTH CARE PROBLEM IN THE WORLD TODAY.

Social anxiety is not only the largest anxiety disorder, it is the third largest mental health care problem -- all alone, by itself. Most people with social anxiety feel they are like voices screaming for help in a crowded room and no one hears their cries. This problem is one of the major purposes for the formation of the Corydon Gamer Association.
